What is Sunset?

The Sunset technique suffuses the crown area of the head with subtle dimension and glossy shine. It's perfect for all natural haircolor Levels 3-Medium Brown to 8-Light Blonde.

What products do you use?

Radiance Translucent Deposit-Only Color.

  1. Prepare hair by shampooing and towel drying

  2. Create dimension with two Radiance formulas

    • Formula 1: Choose an Ash (A) shade that is 1 Level deeper than the client's natural haircolor. Mix 1 oz. Radiance shade with 1 oz. Color Infuser.
    • Formula 2: Choose a Red (R) or Red Orange (RO) shade that is 2 Levels lighter than the client's natural haircolor. Mix 1 oz. Radiance shade with 1 oz. Color Infuser.
    • Section hair in the crown area in a rectangular pattern.
    • Place back-to-back foils, alternating formulas, beginning behind the bang area and working throughout the crown, leaving 1/2-inch subsections between formulas.
    • After the last foil has been placed, process all foils for 10 minutes.
    • When processing is complete, rinse and towel dry.

  3. Overlay a touch of gold

    • Choose a Gold-Beige (GB) shade in the same Level as the client's natural haircolor.
    • Mix 1 oz. Radiance from the GB series with 1 oz. Radiance Clear, plus 2 oz. Radiance Color Infuser. Apply to all hair in a roots-to-ends application.
    • Process for 5 minutes.
    • Rinse thoroughly and towel dry. Style as usual.
