LEVEL
The degree of lightness or darkness, regardless of tone.
There are 10 natural haircolor Levels:
- 6 - 10 are Blonde
- 1 - 5 are Brown/Black

TONE
The warmth or coolness of a color:
- Warm Tones reflect light and appear lighter.
- Cool Tones absorb light and appear darker.
BASE COLOR
The dominant base tone in any haircolor mixture will give a shade its overall characteristic.
