Haircoloring Fundamentals

Make these 5 Steps the basis of every haircolor service. Your creativity and color artistry will soar when these fundamental procedures become automatic.

  1. Client Consultation.

    Understand what the client wants.

  2. Analyze the Hair.

Determine the client's Natural Level and Tone.

  3. Choose the Haircoloring Product.

Select the right product for the result you want.

  4. Formulate.

Contributing Pigment + Artificial Color = Final Result.

Do a Preliminary Patch Test 48 hours before every haircolor service to determine whether the client is hypersensitive or allergic to the product.

  5. Apply the Formula.

First, be sure to do a Strand Test to determine timing and color result before applying the formula in a Virgin or Retouch application.
